LIFE-FLAREX project, coordinated by AEI Tèxtils, held its final event on June 17th. The event was organized remotely as a webinar. More than 60 people attended.
The aim of this webinar was to present the key findings and outcomes from the LIFE-FLAREX project and open a debate on the implementation of hazardous chemicals’ substitution strategies and opportunities for the textile industry, in particular for flame retardants (FRs) used in textile finishing processes and other ongoing trends that are applicable to the sector.
Invited speakers included representatives from the European Commission (DG Environment), the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), the European Chemical Agency (ECHA), EURATEX (the European Apparel and Textile Confederation), ChemSec (the International Chemical Secretariat), the Federal Environmental Agency from Germany and LEITAT Technological Center.
