Learning expeditions
GALACTICA project, led by AEI Tèxtils, has prepared 8 Learning expeditions for cross-sectoral innovation in aerospace, textiles and advanced manufacturing sectors to be held along October & November 2021. This is an opportunity to visit, learn and listen to success stories from leading companies from different industrial sectors.

Startups and SMEs can apply for travel vouchers of up to €650 to participate in one of GALACTICA’s learning expeditions.
Hackathon
Galactica Hackathon is an open-innovation challenge aimed to find new early-stage ideas that combine advanced manufacturing with aerospace and/or textile.

The competition will run from October to December 2021. It is open to teams of SMEs, start-ups and students within the European Union.
The 2nd GALACTICA Hackathon will take place in two rounds, firstly a virtual challenge on open innovation from October 1st to 14th (the first round will be fully online), and a 2nd round for selected finalists (up to 10 teams) on November 30th and December 1st 2021. The second round will be held in Barcelona area (location to be confirmed and subject to sanitary conditions). Finalists will be eligible for travel vouchers to attend on-site.
All projects will be evaluated by experts from 10 European clusters and organisations, both from technical and business perspective.
4 teams will be awarded with a total amount of 50,000€ as prizes and will have the opportunity to access other GALACTICA support tools (Orbital Projects, Pioneer Acceleration) to further support the scale-up of innovative ideas and create new value chains.
