AEI Tèxtils, the Catalan Technical Textiles’ Cluster, participated in the European Commission’s flagship event for industry, the EU Industry Days and EU Industry Week. This event featured a week long discussion (from 22nd to 26th February) in the industrial policy support mechanisms for small and medium sized enterprises and how the different European ecosystems can get stronger by fostering digitalization and green transition to become more resilient.
On the last day of the session, AEI Tèxtils was invited in the panel of the European Cluster Collaboration platform as one of the most active clusters registered and the strong collaboration background that has lead the cluster to coordinate two projects: CLAMTEX and GALACTICA, all involving high degree of cross-sectoral collaboration.
Mr. Josep Casamada, project manager at AEI Tèxtils, presented the cluster experience in the European community of clusters, the key benefits the platform offers and how the cluster is using it to connect and establish collaborations throughout Europe.
AEI Tèxtils is striving for increased communication and strong collaboration at EU level in order to provide better and more valuable services to its members to increase the competitiveness with innovation and digitalization uptake.
Clusters act as a hub and as a collaborative environment to facilitate partnership between companies, research institutes, policy makers and other institutions that promote innovation and provide SMEs access to new knowledge competencies, resources and markets.
