Meeting and workshop of FLAREX project

On Wednesday January 17th 2018, the LIFE-FLAREX consortium, led by AEI Tèxtils, held its biannualproject meetin.

The meeting took place at the Belgian partner facilities Centexbel, in Ghent.

The External Advisory Board of the project attended to this meeting as part of the project strategy to gather vital inputs during this milestone. The members present were Ms. Dunja Drmac, Sustainability Officer at Euratex, Mr. Edie Engels, president of Flame Retardants Europe association, Pr of. Monica Ardanuy, textile professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Denis Mottet, scientific officer at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).The day before the meeting, a Stakeholder’s Workshop was held  in Brussels, co-organized by LIFE-FLAREX team, ECHA and Euratex.

This event brought together a total of 32 highly relevant stakeholders (chemical producers, textile industries, industrial associations and groups of interest) coming from organizations in 7 European countries (Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain).
