Tèxtils.CAT participated in a strategic mission to Casablanca from January 13th to 15th, attended by the Project Manager, Josep Casamada, and the Cluster Manager, Ariadna Detrell.
The travel was framed within a collaboration with the Centro Estero per l’Internazionalizzazione, an organization from the Piemonte region, as part of the Euromed Clusters Forward project.
During the stay, the Moroccan technical textiles cluster C2TM hosted and organized a comprehensive agenda designed to provide in-depth insight into the country’s industrial ecosystem.
Tèxtils.CAT representatives had the opportunity to visit key companies and leading textile centers in the area, which allowed them to gain a detailed understanding of local technological and production capacities, as well as to identify direct synergies in the field of advanced textile materials. These visits have highlighted the interest in identifying complementarities between the Moroccan industry and the R&D capabilities and technological solutions developed in Catalonia, reinforcing the positioning of the Catalan sector in high valueadded textile materials.
For Tèxtils.CAT, this visit represents another step in consolidating its relationship with its Moroccan partners. The mission not only served to strengthen institutional ties but also to explore new avenues for technical and commercial cooperation that foster bilateral innovation. In this regard, Tèxtils.CAT prioritizes that these collaborations provide a direct return to the companies in the cluster, especially in the form of access to new markets, opportunities to export technology, and the development of joint innovation projects.
This initiative reaffirms Tèxtils.CAT’s commitment to opening new markets and continuously seeking strategic opportunities for its members.
Cooperation with international actors is promoted in a way that fosters new opportunities for Catalan companies, while preserving their strategic knowledge and highlighting their competitiveness in hightech and sectors and in sustainability.
By reinforcing alliances with international entities such as the Centro Estero per l’Internazionalizzazione and local partners in Morocco, the cluster continues to position itself as a global connectivity engine for the advanced textile materials sector.
