Tèxtils.CAT reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and sector innovation. Within the framework of the 2022 call for grants for circular economy promotion projects by the Waste Agency of Catalonia, the cluster provided strategic support to five of its member companies, in addition to leading a sector-wide project.
Business projects with real impact
Thanks to the cluster’s support, five companies within the ecosystem have completed the implementation of disruptive circular solutions:
- Technitiger (CIRCULAR-REFIL. Eco-design of recycling cycles for technical fabrics).
- E. Cima (TEXTUB. Manufacturing of packaging material from their own textile waste).
- FINSA-Job Group (FILTRECYCLE. Development of technical filtering fabrics containing recycled material).
- Glasscom (ECOGLASS. Eco-design of composite materials with low-impact fibers).
- Velutex Flock (UP-FLOCK. Eco-design of recyingcled flock by us microfibers)
TEX-R-HUB: The cluster’s strategic commitment
Beyond individual support to companies, Tèxtils.CAT has carried out its own project, TEX-R-HUB. The main outcome of this project is the publication of the strategic study Definition of the Catalan circular hub model, the roadmap for the development of the Tèxtils.CAT Circular Hub, the circular economy platform created by the cluster in September 2024.
With these results, the cluster consolidates its position as a key player in driving circular economy projects, supporting corporate initiative and offering comprehensive support throughout the entire innovation process.
