Hilaturas Jesús Rubio has been spinning stories for more than 50 years. It combines textile tradition, technological innovation, and a strong commitment to sustainability. The company manufactures yarns for both woven and knitted fabrics, including 100% wool yarns and blends, natural fibers, animal fibers, plant fibers (cotton, linen, jute, pineapple, …), as well as synthetic and artificial fibers (viscose, Tencel…). It also produces regenerated yarns made from pre- and post-consumer textile waste (scraps, used clothing, wool waste, jute sacks…).
The company is recognized for its adaptability and flexibility in meeting the most demanding market needs. Its R&D team works continuously on innovation and process improvement within the textile sector. Production is carried out in unique batches, depending on the type of waste and the available color. Each yarn is unique. Each color tells a story. NM 3–16. The company currently employs 10 people.
Strengths and added value: specialization in regenerated yarns. We recover textile waste and transform it into new yarns, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. Customized production: each batch is adapted to the available waste and color, resulting in a flexible, unique, and exclusive product. Certifications: we hold GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certifications, ensuring recycled materials, traceability, and animal welfare. Collaborative innovation: the Re-Yut-Cel project, producing yarns from coffee sacks and textile waste with minimal environmental impact (International Green Product Award 2023). Other collaborations include Formació i Treball (clothing collection containers) and the recovery of wool from shepherds in the Ripollès region, in partnership with ESDI (Higher School of Design).
