GREENWEAVE

Empowering adult learners for sustainable fashion and conscious consumption.

Program: Erasmus+

Coordinator of the project: FØNIX (Norway).

Participation of Tèxtils.CAT: Member. Consortium comprising four additional members: CIAPE (Italy), CITEVE (Portugal), STEP institute (Slovenia), and Cre.Thi.Dev. (Greece).

Start date: September 2026

End date: February 2029

Summary of the project:

The GREENWEAVE project aims to help adults, particularly those with lower qualifications or fewer opportunities, to adopt sustainable fashion consumption habits and circular economy practices. It will do so by connecting the three key actors in the green transition of the textile and clothing sector: consumers, micro and small enterprises in the sector, and adult education centres and professionals.

Building on an analysis of needs and skills in all participating countries, it will develop the Green Fashion Learning Lab: modular, open-access learning resources such as videos, guides, quizzes and digital tools, which will be tested with adults and SME professionals. This learning will then be put into practice through a community challenge, with SMEs from the sector acting as mentors, to reduce purchases and extend the life of garments by repairing and reusing them.
