ADDTEX – Advancing industrial digital and green innovations in the advanced textile industry through innovation in learning and training

Participation of Tèxtils.CAT: Coordinator. Consortium composed by 12 partners: Tèxtils.CAT, CLUTEX, CITEVE, IVGT, TITERA, UPC, UB, TUS, PIN, CRE.THI.DEV, CIAPE and INCDTP.

Objectives:
ADDTEX project aims to bring together enterprises, clusters, higher education providers (HEI) and vocational education and training providers (VET) from the technical textiles sector to work together in partnership, cooperating and fostering innovation and digital and green skills as a common goal. These skills are essential for the future of European socioeconomic textile environment and therefore need to be disseminated among the main players in the chain, from students to companies, creating an upskilling flow of knowledge.
Highlighted activities:
The member company LIASA took part in the project’s hackathon, seeking an alternative to improve the sustainability of its products. A group of students from the University of Boras was responsible for presenting proposals.
Launch of a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) with 9 training units aimed at improving skills in the green, digital, and smart transition of the textile industry.
