Tèxtils.CAT participated in the TEX-BREIN Final Conference, held on 30 September 2026 in Łódź (Poland). The event was hosted by PIOT, the Polish Clothing and Textile Chamber. The conference brought together SMEs, clusters, universities, research and technology institutes and public authorities from six European regions to present the project’s results and define the next steps for cooperation in the circular transition.
The morning programme reviewed the main achievements of TEX-BREIN. These included a capacity-building programme for SMEs and support organizations, the Mentoring Guidelines “Upskilling in Textile Circularity”, a portfolio of interregional SME business cases, and three Textile Re-Hub models designed for Norte (Portugal), Severovýchod (Czechia) and Łódzkie (Poland). The consortium also presented its policy recommendations and exploitation strategy to ensure the results continue beyond the project.
In the afternoon, the TEX-BREIN B2B Matchmaking Arena held 49 one-to-one meetings between 18 organizations, covering the whole value chain. Fibre and yarn producers, fabric manufacturers, brands, used-textile recyclers, and research and testing institutes discussed concrete cooperation in areas such as hemp value chains, smart and functional textiles, recycled yarn supply and joint applications for European funding.
Tèxtils.CAT led the closing “Wrap-Up & Key Insights” session. Oxana Dabrock, Innovation Project Manager, first presented the results and conclusions of the three TEX-BREIN learning expeditions to Prato, Borås and Vila Nova de Famalicão, which together gathered 57 participations. She highlighted that the value of these initiatives goes beyond networking: they give manufacturers a clear view of where the textile sector is heading, across fashion and home textiles but also in technical, medical and defense textiles.
The Final Conference strengthened the interregional cooperation networks of the cluster, bringing together the community built over two years of TEX-BREIN activities. The project’s results, including the Mentoring Guidelines, the webinar library, the learning expedition results and the Re-Hub models, will remain available at tex-brein.eu after the project ends on 31 October 2026.
Through TEX-BREIN, Tèxtils.CAT reinforces its commitment to connecting its members with other European textile ecosystems, increasing their international visibility and promoting collaborative innovation. This work is part of the cluster’s broader strategy to position Catalonia as an active and forward-thinking contributor to the future of the textile industry.
