Textils.CAT has participated at the official kick-off meeting of the new European project ELEVATEX.
As one of the five core partners in this new initiative, the cluster attended the launch meeting on October 16th at the headquarters of the French cluster Techtera in Lyon.
ELEVATEX project, funded by the Eurocluster initiative, is strategically designed to enhance the innovation capacity and international competitiveness of European textile small and medium-sized enterprises.
The project will launch two significant calls for grants:
- 1st Call (Expected Launch: October 2026): A €30,000 grant will be available for individual SMEs focused on the development of new innovative products or processes.
- 2nd Call (Expected Launch: June 2027): A €69,000 grant will be available for consortia of two SMEs for the implementation of innovative processes using advanced technologies.
In addition to direct financial support, ELEVATEX will facilitate global business expansion. A dedicated budget has been allocated to fund the participation at international missions to Japan and the US. These missions are intended to help SMEs explore and establish new business opportunities in key international markets.
This is the third Eurocluster project in which the cluster takes part, after the finalization of EuroBoostex and xBuild-EU, the last one as coordinator.
Tèxtils.CAT considers these project as a cornerstone for building resilience in the sector and the expansion of its innovation capacity. Clusters act as a hub and as a collaborative environment to facilitate partnership between enterprises, research institutes, policy makers and other institutions that promote innovation and provide SMEs access to new knowledge competencies, resources and markets.
